Sam began tutoring high school students at LifeWorks in 2014, specializing in biology, chemistry, physiology, and other life sciences. He later paused tutoring to pursue a doctorate in Physical Therapy, returning after becoming a licensed and practicing physical therapist. In his clinical work, he develops teaching strategies to help individuals understand complex information, build skills, and gain confidence - an approach he brings into every tutoring session.
Sam has developed a clear, structured, and patient teaching style focused on breaking down challenging concepts into manageable steps. He especially enjoys working with students who feel overwhelmed or unsure of their abilities in science, helping them build confidence, think critically, and approach challenges with greater independence.
A Bay Area native, Sam enjoys playing pickleball, board and card games, and tending to his many houseplants.
