Jai Flicker

Jai Flicker is the founder of LifeWorks Learning Center and has been working with students and families for over 25 years. From the beginning, he saw that students make the most progress when support goes beyond academics to include mentoring and personal growth.

In 2004, Jai founded LifeWorks to bring this vision to life. Since then, he has continued to refine The LifeWorks Method, drawing on insights from philosophy, mindfulness, and developmental psychology. At its heart, this approach prioritizes strong relationships, authentic motivation, and the deeper skills that help students grow into confident, capable learners.

Alongside his work at LifeWorks, Jai has lectured nationally and internationally, is a certified Mindfulness in Education Teacher, and has also been involved with the Stepping Stones Project, an organization providing contemporary Rites of Passage and mentoring for youth.

Jai earned his B.A. in Philosophy from UC San Diego. When he’s not working with students or parents, he enjoys life’s precious moments in Lagunitas, CA with his wife, Yea, and their two children, Amara and Aden.
