Jai Flicker, Founder & CEO
Jai Flicker is the founder of LifeWorks Learning Center, as well as a renowned educator, thought leader and lecturer.
Jai's began tutoring youth in 1999 for a non-profit organization, called The Homework Club. It was here that he began developing a unique approach that combined traditional academic support with humanistic strategies that foster psychological development and fuel social-emotional learning.
Jai then founded LifeWorks in 2004 with the aim of empowering students to transform their lives in lasting and meaningful ways. Over the past two decades Jai has continued to refine the LifeWorks methodology, integrating key insights and practices from the fields of mindfulness, positive psychology, attachment theory, and more.
In addition to doing extensive work with youth, Jai's expertise has resonated with parents and academic professionals at various esteemed institutions. He has had the honor of presenting at universities such as UC Santa Cruz, and lecturing internationally at the University of Oslo. Jai is also a certified Mindfulness in Education Teacher, a Qi Gong instructor, and has had the privilege of studying Tibetan Buddhism under Dr. Daniel Brown.
A proud graduate of UC San Diego, Jai earned his B.A. in Philosophy. When he's not working to help empower the next generation, he enjoys life's precious moments in Fairfax, CA alongside his wife, Yea, and their two children, Aden and Amara.
