Peggy Airey-Van Diem

Peggy first began tutoring 20 years ago, working in design and multimedia before rekindling her love for math and science. Since 2012, she has focused on math instruction, drawing on eight years of experience as a community college tutor and educational assistant. Over the years, she has developed a calm, patient, and down-to-earth style that helps students feel at ease and ready to learn.

Peggy is especially gifted at reaching students who feel “bad at math” or who face learning challenges. She presents concepts from different angles and adapts her methods to each student’s unique learning style, fostering critical thinking while also building confidence. For Peggy, tutoring is not just about academics — it’s about mentoring, celebrating individuality, and helping students see their own potential.

Outside of LifeWorks, Peggy enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, and exploring various creative outlets, such as crafting.
