Peggy Airey-Van Diem, Expert Educator
Peggy first ventured into tutoring 20 years ago, focusing on design and multimedia. But, after rekindling a love for math and science, she started tutoring math in 2012.
With 8 years of experience as a community college tutor and educational assistant, she has honed her ability to engage students with a calm, patient and down to earth approach. She teaches concepts from different angles and tailors her methods to the student's individual learning style.
Peggy takes pride in fostering critical thinking skills and building confidence, especially with those who feel "bad at math", or who are experiencing learning challenges. This is where Peggy enjoys taking on a role as a mentor, understanding and celebrating the individuality of each student she works with.
Outside of tutoring, Peggy loves the outdoors, traveling, and various creative outlets, including one as a bag maker.
